In Autumn 2016 I was asked to join Informa Plc as Digital Marketing Director, responsible for all delegate and sponsor sales targets, marketing activity, social networks and websites, under the Maritime Energy and Agriculture vertical of KNect365 – the global knowledge and networking division. As part of this role I was tasked with implementing a total overhaul of the company websites, including the integration of editorial articles and forging a closer relationship with Lloyds List.
This was part of a group-wide digital transformation involving the introduction of innovative online communities, to revolutionise the business position within the marketplace as a resource and destination for sharing knowledge between industry leaders and businesses. This transformation project included overseeing the import of over five hundred articles into bespoke curated communities designed to increase engagement, drive new business opportunities and create additional revenue streams within an extremely short time frame.
