About

I’m Nick Coveney a digital content expert, storyteller, Ribena activist and all round geek. More recently I’ve become involved in grass-roots inclusive Sports which is an unlikely but very enjoyable new interest.

I am passionate about all things digital – particularly tech, books and computer games. I am delighted to be the Publisher Relations and Content Lead for Rakuten Kobo, leading their business strategy, content and partnership programmes in the U.K., Australia and New Zealand.

I joined the Rakuten Kobo team after more than nine years in a variety of leading digital roles in the industry. Firstly at Hachette UK, where I worked with a number of bestselling authors to bring their content to life digitally including; Stephen King, George R. R. Martin, Enid Blyton, Cressida Cowell and Miranda Hart.

In summer 2014 I was invited to join Bonnier Publishing where I was formerly Head of Digital & Social Media & responsible for all aspects of digital publishing, product development, digital sales, digital communication and strategy at Kings Road Publishing. And most recently, I was Digital Innovation & Projects Director at @HarperCollinsUK responsible for implementing innovative and compelling digital products and platforms and leading on tech partnership opportunities.

In summer 2014 I was selected as one TheBookseller’s Risings Stars – the annual run-down of the best and brightest young (and some not so young) guns in the industry, received Proxime Accessit for The Young Stationer’s Prize 2014, in February 2016 I was selected as an inaugural London Book Fair TrailBlazer Award winner.

In December 2016, I was asked to join @Informaplc‘s knowledge and networking division KNect365 as Marketing Director. After some enjoyable months leading the digital transformation of the Maritime, Energy and Agriculture vertical, growing delegate revenue and launching their editorial content, I realised that missed the infinite creativity and opportunities of digital publishing so I chose to leave Informa and return to the publishing world.
